My Credentials:

• I was raised in science, and prepared for my expected career in science (in the 1970's).
• Undergraduate degree in mathematics/computer science (a joint degree) in 1982.
• Worked for 45+ years as a software engineer.
• An amateur scientist my whole life.
• An amateur theologian since 2000 when I came out of the word-of-faith movement.
• Retired in 2025.
• Currently persuing a graduate degree in biblical studies with a conentration in theology from The Master's University.

I was in the word of faith movement for the ten years prior to 2000. Since exiting I have learned to love sound doctrine and church history.

I have been a deacon twice over the years, in two different churches. Taught Bible studies in one of them, they had a shortage of theologically trained people in that very small church.

My favorite Bible teacher is John MacArthur, and I generally agree with him theologically. I like R. C. Sproul and James White too, but remain a dispensationalist.
